GENE YEE
PRESIDENT
Gene Yee, the company founder, has a successful track record of developing innovative solutions for municipalities. He is largely responsible for Keygent's business strategy and new business development. Gene is highly regarded for his knowledge of education finance and business operations. Prior to founding Keygent, Gene was a managing director at a national brokerage firm, where he was responsible for its fixed income investment banking - California education group. In working with over 450 municipal clients, he provided debt capacity studies, cash flow analysis and strategic credit analysis. Gene graduated from UCLA where he received a B.A. in Economics/International Studies. He also holds a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He received his M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Gene is a member of the California State Bar.
TONY HSIEH
MANAGING DIRECTOR & MANAGER OF PUBLIC FINANCE
Tony Hsieh has been advising clients on strategic and financial matters for over a decade. At Keygent, he manages the Public Finance Group which is focused on providing California educational entities with independent strategic, technical and quantitative advice. He is widely known for his expertise in debt refinancing and structuring. Prior to joining Keygent, Tony was a senior vice president at a national brokerage firm in its public finance department. He has structured financings for over 400 California education entities totaling over $10 billion. Tony has a B.A. in Economics from UCLA.
CHET WANG
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Chet Wang has extensive financial industry experience and most recently has provided financial advisory services exclusively to California educational entities. At Keygent, he is primarily responsible for managing our technical and quantitative efforts. He has expertise in debt and bonding capacity studies, cash flow analysis, restructuring models, refinancing analysis, and credit analysis. Prior to joining Keygent, Chet was an associate at a national brokerage firm in its public finance department. He has structured financings for over 200 California education entities totaling over $2 billion. Chet has a B.A. in Business Economics and Communications from UCLA.
